John Butschies

johnJohn Butschies graduated at Sydney university with Honours in 1978

After serving our country in the royal Australian Navy as a dentist, he practised in Sydney until moving to the Far North Coast in 1988.

As a family dentist he provides expert dental services like tooth coloured fillings, tooth extractions root canal therapy, crowns as well as implant crowns, tooth whitening and mouthguards. John has a special interest in orthodontics, which is not common for a family dentist to perform orthodontics too.

These days dentistry is a dynamic profession and continuing education has always been a priority for John. Maintaining high standards, with the aim to deliver the most effective and appropriate treatment for his patients.

Over the years John has enjoyed rugby, tennis scuba diving, riding motor bikes (through remote parts of Australia like the Kimberly) and sail boarding. Now, John’s special interests are boating, fishing and kayaking.

John has proudly been a member of the Ballina / Lennox Head dental community for over 26 years and wishes to continue providing dental care to our area well in to the future.

Hollie Jarrett

Hollie Jarrett joined our practice in 2008 after graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Oral Health Therapy. She achieved the number one ranking in both academic excellence and clinical skills of her cohort.
Hollie recently completed a Masters in Health Services Management via distance through Griffith University, which has provided her with dental care knowledge from an aspect other than the usual clinical focus.

She is a valued member of our professional team, able to treat the dental needs of children and young adults under 18 years of age.|
Hollie also provides preventative dental services for all ages including scaling and cleaning, and oral hygiene instruction to our patients, resulting in improved dental and oral health outcomes.
Prevention of gum and bone (periodontal) diseases is vitally important so to ensure the retention and function of our teeth over ones lifetime.

Hollie is a true local of this area being born and raised on her family property in Bangalow.
In her spare time she enjoys camp drafting (Australian equine sport), but mostly you will find her on a soccer field somewhere in the area.  Hollie has been captain of the Bangalow Women’s Premier division soccer team for the last 8 years, and her team have been major champions of the area for the last 4 years.
